I am free

A couple weeks ago I went to a worship service at a friend's church. After the service, they had a time where you could be prayed for. I didn't want to go up front in a church I didn't attend, but my heart felt like there were walls around it and I knew I needed prayer, so I went. The man who prayed for me said that he saw that my heart was like a fist, but that God was going to unclench it and free me from the things that had been binding me. After he prayed for me, I did start to feel much freer, like a weight was lifted. I noticed my mood lifted, as well. And my attitude at work improved immensely.

Earlier this week, when I heard this song on the radio, I heard it with fresh ears. It felt like God saying, "I'm here, I'm paying attention." When we sang it in Chapel today, that confirmed it.

I Am Free - Newsboys

Through You the blind will see
Through You the mute will sing
Through You the dead will rise
Through You our hearts will praise
Through You the darkness flees
Through You my heart screams I am free
I am free

I am free to run
(I am free to run)
I am free to dance
(I am free to dance)
I am free to live for You
(I am free to live for You)
I am free
(I am free)
Yes, I am free
(I am free)

Through You the kingdom comes
Through You the battle's won
Through You I'm not afraid
Through You the price is paid
Through You there's victory
Because of You my heart Sings I am free
I am free

Who the Son sets free is free indeed.
Who the Son sets free is free indeed.
